Do I need formal training to apply?
No formal degree is required, but we look for demonstrated styling experience — whether through a portfolio, client work, editorial projects, or retail background. The StyleBook™ certification covers our methodology, not styling fundamentals.
How does Stylebook make money?
We charge a platform fee of 15% on sessions booked through Stylebook. Your first 3 clients are commission-free. There are no monthly fees or upfront costs.
Can I work remotely?
Absolutely. Many of our stylists work entirely remotely via video sessions. You set your own preferences — remote only, in-person only, or both.
How long does certification take?
The StyleBook™ certification is 6 self-paced modules. Most stylists complete it in 2–3 weeks. You can start taking clients as soon as you're certified.
What happens if a client isn't a good fit?
We have a matching process designed to minimize mismatches, but if a client relationship isn't working, you can end it at any time. We'll handle the client communication and rematch them.
